Proper Shoe Fit
You AnkleNFootCenters.com tip of the day is— To get a good shoe fit–make sure that the widest part of the shoe (by the ball of the foot) matches the widest part of your foot. That is a better indicator that the toes. As long as the shoe is not pressing on the toes–then there is no problem if there is a quarter of an inch or an inch toe room.
The shoe should be able to be made snug-just from that proper fit.
This is true especially for running shoes. If the toes touch-then expect toenail damage after your runs. This damage includes blackened nail-or toenail fungus.
