Chicago Podiatrists vs Orthopedists- How long may it take to receive treatment?

The Chicago Podiatrist say….at the you can be seen same day for your ankle sprain, have  x-rays & be read by the treating podiatrist , be treated with physical therapy at our locations under the supervision of your treating podiatrist-or receive any other appropriate treatment same day. We are even able to schedule out patient surgery if needed.

Or wait several hours at the ER to then be referred to the orthopedist-which may take some time to see. If it’s not an injury-then prepare to wait several weeks to see an orthopedist. If x-rays are needed you will be sent out & have to return for the results. If therapy is needed you will need to be sent out again-only to return & be evaluated by someone who is not in direct charge of your therapy. If surgery is needed-then be prepared for ling hospital wait times.
